The SOS Children’s village in partnership with Johnson and Johnson Nigeria, has organised a one day business and career development seminar for young people to mark this year’s international youth day.

The National Director, SOS, Mr. Eghosa Erhumwunse, represented by Mr. Ayodeji Adelopo maintained that this year’s theme “Transforming Education” highlighted efforts to make the sector more relevant, equitable and inclusive.

Erhumwunse pointed out that the programme offers learning and growth opportunities for young people to develop the attitudes, behaviour, confidence and skills needed to take responsibility for building their own future and to become successful.

The one-day training programme was targeted at 100 young people from Lagos and Ogun states.

Mrs. Ronke Eseka, State Focal person, Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All (CSACEFA), gave relevant tips that can prepare young people for the job market and lead independent lives.
