WorldRemit Visits Schools and Orphanages

Following its recent outreach in Kano where 300 families (orphans and widows) were supported with food items, leading online money transfer company WorldRemit again partnered with Regalo Hope Foundation to visit the Arms of Mercy Orphanage and Comenius Nursery and Primary School in Lagos State to support their work in providing better care and opportunities that enrich the lives of many children.

Following its recent outreach in Kano where 300 families (orphans and widows) were supported with food items, leading online money transfer company WorldRemit again partnered with Regalo Hope Foundation to visit the Arms of Mercy Orphanage and Comenius Nursery and Primary School in Lagos State to support their work in providing better care and opportunities that enrich the lives of many children.

During this outreach, representatives from WorldRemit visited Comenius Nursery and Primary School, a Street to School initiative that aims to ensure no child is left behind in education by providing free education and feeding to out of school children. During the visit, WorldRemit donated supplies such as textbooks, reading materials, tables, chairs, canopy, snacks, school sandals and more to enhance the learning experience of the children.

WorldRemit also visited Arms of Mercy Orphanage and supported the organization’s essential work by donating food supplies, sanitary products and other home appliances such as beds, fans and washing machine to support the orphanage in providing the love and support that the children require.

According to Fiona Yoba, WorldRemit’s Marketing Partnership Manager, the project has been a success and has truly given meaning to its theme, “Little things make a big difference.” She also said that while the project has ended, she encourages the act of good giving because they do make a huge difference in the lives of everyone we are able to touch in any way possible.
