‘We are committed to revolutionising broadcasting, ’says Breez FM boss
Adebayo said that since the station hit the airwaves officially in October 2014 after having warmed the hearts of the listening public through test transmissions for several weeks, it has deliberately digressing totally from what is currently obtainable in the state’s media practices by bringing radio broadcast down to the grassroots through quality and interactive news and programme presentations, entertainment cultured by the rule of more music, less talk and regulated commercials.
According to him, this is a fall out of the vision of the station, which is to top the chart as number one digitalized station in the South West, inspiring the nation through qualitative broadcast practices and taking broadcasting to the next level.
“No wonder, the station is the pride of the nation and one that is envisioned to take broadcasting to the highest level.
“Breez 91.9 FM came at the wake of political intolerance in Ondo State, when the existing media outfits before its establishment have been identified to be acting the scripts of their masters, leaving the listeners to no other choice than having unbalanced information and news dissemination.
“We have as part of our vision to create and maintain operational balancing and unbiased news reportage, coupled with a platform for everyone regardless of position or status to express their views and contribute effectively to the polity and governance.”
Adebayo said the station operates in the light of truth, with a tool of effective audience participation and balancing of information in several ways.
“As part of our strength is an effective online service we provide in compliance with the much awaited digitalized broadcast practice. Listeners can now enjoy our services online by downloading and installing Breez FM App from the Play Store.
“Our website is open as an interface to engage our services and interact with us; www.breez919fm.com. Also, our in-house certification mechanism brings solution to tracking and compliance issues.”
In moving forward, he said that the projection is to make Ondo State another internationally recognized entertainment hub through the establishment of a millennium compliant digitalized TV station that will complement the efforts of its radio service.
Adebayo said they would be doing this along with highlighting the culture and values of its immediate communities by bringing broadcasting to the grassroots and ensuring an effective participation and contribution of the common man in remote environment.
