As the COVID-19 pandemic continue to impact productivity, many companies have found a new way to stay relevance as they adopt new methods of doing business and offering value to their customers. One of such is Efugo Farms with the launch of a new range of dried Catfish Products in hygienic packs for consumers.

Efugo Farms is a NAFDAC certified agricultural facility based in Kuje, Abuja. They specialise in fish and poultry farming and the large scale sale of dried and fresh catfish, live and frozen chicken and a range of vegetables to restaurants and hotels. The hygienically packaged dried Catfish is a retail strategy adopted by the company to protect their customers from health hazards and reach them at a wider scale.

Speaking about the product, the CEO of Efugo Farms, Mr. Owuno Ogbeh said that Nigeria has seen several products move from unhygienic display and sales on roadsides, to the supermarkets’ shelves. That is why the company is very conscious of production processes and ensures a consistent level of high-quality products.

While on the current global pandemic and the challenges posed to businesses, he mentioned that the pandemic situation forced his farm to adopt more of a retail strategy. “We sold a lot of our fresh fish products to hotels and restaurants, which are all currently closed. With our new products, we are working with distributors and stockists across the country, and we expect decent performances”. He further mentioned that his products are available in many supermarkets in the Abuja area as they also plan to spread distribution across the country.
