University celebrates as four courses get full accreditation

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has returned the four engineering programmes of Landmark University with full accreditation status.

The full accreditation was an aftermath of the exercise conducted earlier between May and June.

The courses include Mechanical, Chemical, Civil as well as Electrical and Information Engineering.

In a letter issued to the proprietor of the university – the Living Faith Church Worldwide, and signed by the Director of Accreditation, Dr. N. B. Saliu, the full accreditation was with immediate effect and shall be valid for a period of five years – between 2017 and 2021.

Also, the technical reports and summary of the results revealed that the programmes were highly equipped with requisite facilities, having scored above 90 percent in each.

Relaying the good news to the university community, the vice-chancellor, Prof. Adeniyi Olayanju, acknowledged God for the well-deserving milestone attained by the institution.

He stated that God has enabled the proprietor under the visionary leadership of Dr. David Oyedepo, to adequately fund the university, which culminated in the outstanding report from NUC.

Olayanju noted that by the accreditation, the entire 23 programmes offered by the university were fully accredited not only by NUC but also by relevant professional regulatory bodies.

He commended the notable contributions of the erstwhile vice-chancellor, Prof. Aize Obayan, management and staff of the university towards ensuring that the institution adopts best practices to actualise her goal of academic excellence and worthy scholarship in the global education landscape.
