AS we have noted in previous publications, health scientists/ researchers give preference and concentrated only on the numerous physical causative factors associated with cancer and other diseases, such as heredity, depleted immunity, poor nutrition, infections, poor eliminations, chronic irritation or bruising, previous injury, lack of vitality, environmental toxicity, carcinogenic substances in food, water and air and exposure to harmful man-made chemical and radiations.

The ways the patient thinks, his /her emotional make-up, inner life, fear, repressed anger and frustrations, etc. are usually grossly neglected.

However, the new field of study- Psychoneuroimmunology- that deals with the connection between our mind, emotion, brain, the nervous, endocrine and immune systems has shown that those factors that emanate from deep within us- negative thoughts, negative emotions, deep inner disharmony, etc. are the greatest etiological (causative) factors associated with all forms of cancer.

Many degenerative diseases of our time have been found to be caused by a longstanding condition of deep inner disturbances and disharmony in thoughts and emotions.

It was Dr. Edward Bach (1886-1936), an English physician, who noted: “Disease is in essence the result of a conflict between soul and mind and will never be eradicated, except by spiritual and mental effort….”

From the science of psychoneuroimmunology point of view, habitual negative thoughts and emotions arising from unexpressed thoughts of rejection, thoughts of revenge, anger and bitterness, resentments, deep inner fear, jealousy, past disappointments, psychological trauma, etc constitute chronic stress, which:
Weakens the liver, suppresses or destroys that part of the immune system that destroys cancerous cells and centres as soon as they appear anywhere in the body.

Disrupts the functions of the entire endocrine glands. Breaks down the body’s psychic immunities and defences, etc.

It is well documented that even a moment of explosive anger or rage can impair the entire immune system for hours.

According to Dr. Ryke Hamer (MD), a German surgeon and internal medicine physician: “…the real cause of cancer and other diseases is an unexpected traumatic shock, for which we are emotionally unprepared.”

Hamer also believes that metastatic tumours do not originate from the ‘primary’ tumour, but are the result of either unresolved emotional conflicts or suppressive treatment, e.g. chemotherapy, which poisons the immune response.

Almost 90 per cent of women who develop breast cancers are often victims of marriage disappointment or disappointment in love matters, which often leads to serious emotional breakdown and disturbances in the harmony between the soul and the body.

Fear, grief and mental depression suppress the immune systems and paralyse the spirit and break the psychic defences.

Tumours and life-threatening diseases may be dormant, just sleeping quietly, for many years until they are given the opportunity to manifest through habitual negative thoughts and emotions and deep inner disharmonies.

Psychic immune systems (auras) can be seriously weakened by the physical presence of a variety of diseases and can be severely damaged by threat, shock, fright, trauma or injury, chemical or atomic poisons or pollution, etc.

In 1988, Dr. Valorie Hunt, the Executive Director of the BioEnergy Fields Foundation, conducted a study and found that the human auric colours could be measured in Hertz/second or cycles/second (Hz/sec).

She postulated that in health, the human body has a frequency of between 62 to 68 MHz and each disease has its own frequency.

For example, cold symptoms manifest when the body vibrates at a frequency of 58 MHz and a disease such as cancer could manifest if the physical body vibrates at the frequency of 42 MHz for a period of time, rather than its usual 62 MHz.

The frequency of the radiation of most people living in our present computer age has fallen even below the minimal expected range. And can, therefore, hardly able any longer to protect the cells, tissues and organs from invasion by aberrant energies that are capable of triggering degenerative and cancerous changes in the body.

As we have noted, cancer is one the human diseases that seem to be most confusing and unpredictable.

It is a known fact that we all produce cancerous cells daily and it has been estimated that up to 90 per cent of cancers develop and without treatments disappear on their own.

Some people may be born with genetic defects or “oncogenes,” which seem to allow cancer to develop readily. Others are born without certain “tumour suppressor” genes or injuries that act to lessen the ability of cancer causing substance (carcinogens) to induce malignancy.

Some people have cancer cells in their bodies and these cells grow and proliferate, while in others, these cells may remain dormant throughout their life.

It is also known that cancer does not have boundary; it strikes an apparently healthy person who has had a perfect life and the person who is not so healthy, a seemingly spiritually active person, as well as a spiritually indolent person, the very happy and the very sad, the rich and the poor, the young and the old.

The question so often asked by many is: Does it not appear unjust that “innocent children” and obviously good and spiritually active people must sometimes be struck with painful cancers or suffer other bitter and heart-rending experiences in their earth-lives?

To answer this question, many notable people all over the world, including the famous “sleeping prophet,” Edgar Cayce, have observed that in some cases, cancer can result from past life experiences, i.e. cancer is sometimes karmic, as it may be the reciprocal effects of the past actions or may in few cases be a mission karma voluntarily undertaken prenatally “… for the purpose of gaining earthly understanding and maturity in order to fulfill the mission.”
