IT’S evidently clear that the world is indeed moving to its end. It is already under pressure to wind up for a new world to come. The unpleasant changes in our climate, economy, strange occurrences and politics among others are all pointing to the fact that a new world order is about to emerge.

But no matter how uncertain the situation may be, we have assurance from God that He will never leave nor forsake us. (Heb. 13:5). We must hold on to this divine promise regardless of what our condition appears to be.

One undisputable thing is that God Almighty loves all He created and wishes that His Children should be joyful and in good health. He never wants anybody to suffer or perish, thus He made everything available to ensure we are not in pain or want. When He created man, He put him in the Garden of Eden, where everything to make him happy was provided. And when man derailed, God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die for our iniquities in order to bring us back to what He expected us to be. (Jn 10:10b says, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”)

From creation till date, God has not closed His eyes from seeing the joy of His Children. Any time man faces seemingly insurmountable challenges, God comes to his rescue. In the days His people were subjected to oppression in Egypt, they cried unto the Lord and He heard and delivered them.

Exodus 3:7-8, “And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; 8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.”

At the set time, God’s Children called upon Him and He heard their cry, saw their oppression and delivered them. At that time, whether the Egyptians liked it or not, God was determined to deliver His people.

As it was in the days God saw the affliction of His people and delivered them in Egypt, so shall it be to us now that the ominous cloud seems to have overshadowed the political and economic horizon of our country. As we call upon God today in prayer, our nation shall come alive again. I do not know what brought about the recent anxiety or how many years the enemy has subjected this nation to misery and suddenly everything looks like an insurmountable mountain. We may have lost all hope for deliverance, but today after our collective prayers our apprehension shall be turned to joy. All the anxiety, misery and depression that have suffused the nation shall be a thing of the past. Our sorrow shall turn to joy.

Ex.1:13-14 says, “And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour: 14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in mortar, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.

Today, as we pray, our deliverance is sure. Nigeria shall be delivered and no matter the extent of the affliction, God Almighty will do something in our lives today. A new experience of peace and joy will spring up, for God has determined to deliver us and nothing can stop Him. The apprehension shall be turned to joy.
