THIS life is a journey that must come to an end one day, but where you end depends on what you are doing now. If you are the type that refuses to change and reject chastisement or hold on to the things of the world, it is obvious where you are going. Isaiah was a prophet who preached a lot about the Messiah. In Isaiah 9:6-7, the Bible says: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.”

People who are broken don’t argue with God or rebel against authority; they do what God asks them. You can cry out to the Lord, just like a man in England did. By the time the Lord broke him down, he did exploits for the Lord to the point that nightclubs started closing down and people started surrendering their lives to Jesus. At a point, there was uproar and he was arrested and taken to the Queen. His arrest gave him the opportunity to witness to the Queen. Do you want the Lord to revive you? Then you must identify the areas that are unbroken in your life and bring them to God.

God cannot use an unbroken person to revive a soul. Jesus obeyed God to the letter even while he was dying on the cross. You too can be a “zombie” for Jesus and become a useful tool in the hand of God. In His humiliation, Jesus did not open His mouth. He could call down a battalion of angels to deal with His oppressors, but He did not. One of the things “killing” us is head knowledge, which is part of un-brokenness. What do we know? Who exactly are we to stand against the Almighty’s Word? The Bible says in Isaiah 55:8-9 that “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Will you fight back when you are maltreated? To be a vessel of revival, self must die so that Jesus can reign in your life. How many of us really come to serve God when we come to church? People come for different purposes: some to mark register; watch and while others are receiving, the rest are watching, hence nothing is happening in their lives. The reason you are in church is to receive and if you are not receiving you should ask yourself some pertinent questions.
