Taxi drivers partner MFB to replace rickety vehicles
The Lagos State Taxi Drivers and Cab Operators Association has partnered SEAP Micro Finance Bank (MFB), in the bid to replace rickety vehicles.
The partnership, in the pilot phase, has led to the commissioning four vehicles.
President of the association, Tajudeen Ayetoro, while commissioning the vehicle at their head office in Oshodi, said the group has concluded plans to remove old, non-roadworthy taxi from roads across the state has signed memorandum of understanding pa with SEAP.
He said the Taxi Drivers and Cab Operators Association has collaborated with the SEAP Micro Finance institution to finance the auto lease project, to replace the rickety vehicles on the road.
He handed over the vehicles to the four beneficiaries of the SEAP assisted project, charged members of the association to key into lease the programme.
He noted that the association will not allow its members to go into extinction.
According to him, “I am indeed grateful to the management of SEAP Micro Finance institution for accepting to finance this auto lease project and we promise not to disappoint you and like Oliver Twist, we still need more vehicles to replace the rickety one on the road.”
He, therefore, admonished the member to key into the laudable programme by registering into SEAP Micro Finance Institution.
