Profeddor of Small Animal Medicine and Clinical Virology at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, (MOUAU), Abia State, Dr. Maduike Ezeibe has revealed that he received a query instead of a commendation letter after his invention.

Professor of Small Animal Medicine and Clinical Virology at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, (MOUAU), Abia State, Dr. Maduike Ezeibe has revealed that he received a query instead of a commendation letter after his invention.

Ezeibe is the inventor of the cure for some incurable diseases including Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome named “ Medicinal Synthetic Aluminum – Magnesium Silicate ( MSAMS). He said his Vice Chancellor, Prof. Francis Otunta stood by him, which made his case different from the inventions that came from the University of Benin’s professor whom he stated claimed his invention could cure HIV/AIDS, but was forced to retract his claim within 24 hours.

Ezeibe who is the Dean of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike College of Veterinary Medicine, made this known while delivering the 48th inaugural Lecture of the university entitled “ Cure for Incurable Diseases: HIV/AIDS, Other Viral Diseases, Cancers, Antimicrobial-Resistant Infections”.He explained that in his own invention, the MOUAU Vice Chancellor, management and Council had been supporting him, including the Abia state governor.

Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, whom he said, after listening to him, gave him financial support.Besides, he said the three Abia State senators, Theodore Orji, Mao Ohuabunwa and Enyinnaya Abaribe “ forced the Federal Government to set up the professor Iliyasu Zubairu- Committee, which investigated our MOUAU claim and at the end, gave us the go ahead to commence the clinical trial.”

He added that although he was promised a Tertiary Education Trust fund (TETFUND) grant, he is is yet to receive it, as he keeps praying for it to come, adding that Ohanaeze Ndigbo also raised his voice in his defense as the President General Chief John Nwodo , Dr. Kingsley Dozie had to accompany him to Abuja to meet the senate committee on Primary health, pointing out that Dozie’s presence as a medical doctor and Chieftain of the Ohanaeze made a lot of difference.

According to Ezeibe, the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu was so impressed that a Committee of highly competent scientists he (Minister ) inaugurated to investigate his ( MOUAU ) HIV/AIDS Cure Claim agreed that Nigerians can cure HIV/AIDS, promising to ensure that the invention is patented in all major international Patent Zones of the world.

He further disclosed that the University of Nigeria Nsukka Management under professor Chinedu Nebo paid for his first three Patents.Speaking on his HIV/AIDS Cure invention ( MSAMS ), Ezeibe said: “The Nigerian HIV/AIDS medicine, which is now known all over the world, is made of Aluminum-magnesium silicate ( AMS ). AMS has been in use as medicine but we are the first to use it to treat systemic diseases including HIV/AIDS and Cancers (incurable diseases)”.

According to Ezeibe, “when efficiency is enhanced, lower doses achieve desired effects. Use of lower doses for treatments minimizes side effects of medicines. When side effects are minimized, immune responses of patients improve.

“ Improvement in efficiency of antimicrobials and immune response of patients leads to clearance of both sensitive and resistant (incurable ) infections. That means that we (Nigerians) have invented cure for all the three main classes of incurable diseases; Viral, Cancers and Antimicrobial Resistant ( AMR ) Infections.

“ Since AMS does not occur as natural deposits in Nigeria, Aluminum silicate and Magnesium silicate (already approved medicines) that are abundant in the country were used “.Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor, Otunta who presided over the lecture session, commended Ezeibe for successfully undertaking the research that led to the invention of the cure, saying that the university supported him and would subsist the support.
