In his acceptance speech, Osilaja promised to continue to impact on the three major communities in the area, which include Ogombo, Maiyegun and Itedo. He said: “In the past, we focused attention on these three communities and especially the schools there. Itedo Primary School, with about 250 pupils, was in a deplorable condition. The school had no fence, toilet and half of the building’s roof was gone.

“We had to pull down the whole building and started afresh in collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Education. We provided them with exercise books and textbooks. We also donated to the school a set of computers. We did a similar thing in junior primary school, in Ogombo, which also had no toilet. We did all the necessary things except the donation of computers, but gave a generator to the police station in the community. We replicated what we did at Ogombo in Maiyegun primary school that had a thousand pupils and this year, we are going to give them a toilet,” he said.

Osilaja disclosed that free eye screening was carried out by his administration about two weeks ago at Maiyegun while the club would also be supporting a community health centre in the community. He, disclosed that his star project for his service year as giving out of 20 incubators to hospitals.
