Rite Foods Limited recently celebrated exceptional women, who have excelled in making quality contributions to the development of the country’s entrepreneurial sector.

At an activity to mark 2019 International Women’s Day (IWD), Managing Director, Rite Foods, Seleem Adegunwa while speaking on “Nigerian Woman, Food, Drinks and Her”, said the programme was designed to celebrate the Nigerian woman in an atmosphere of food, drinks, fun and networking.

The event tagged ‘The March Exhibition’ held in Lagos with about 35 vendors showcasing mouthwatering meals and drinks in attendance.

He said, “Since women are our mothers, sisters and our daughters, we just feel it is important to celebrate them frequently. We thought we could use the entrepreneurs as well, and think about them as women entrepreneurs. We felt it is another good angle from which we can celebrate women.

Adegunwa said: “As a food and beverage company, it was natural that our thoughts gravitated towards the idea of recognising, celebrating and ultimately, empowering female food and drinks entrepreneurs, by providing a platform where they can showcase their entrepreneurial spirit, network among themselves for positive alignments for future successes and most importantly, have fun while doing it.”

The firm’s Brand Manager, Yetunde Jack noted that the company used the event to promote gender equality, exhibit their brand and empower women to bring to the forefront their businesses, added that the firm provided the stands free of charge to enable them exhibit their wares.
