Muslims across the country have been urged to continue their righteous deeds after Ramadan in other to earn complete reward of a committed fellow in the hereafter.

The Guest Speaker at the public lecture organized by Dowen College Muslim Community, Sheikh Umar Tijani, said many people are yearning for good life, happiness and joy and they needed to embrace righteous behaviors and exhibit the fear of Allah in their daily endeavors.

According to him, good deeds do not end in the month of Ramadan, but should transcend throughout the lifetime.

He quoted a verse of the holy Quran that said: “Whoever works righteous (whether male or female), while he or she is a true believer, verily, to him or her We will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provisions), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do.”

Tijani urged the Muslim Umah not to focus on present day nor worry much about what the future holds, but engage in constant remembrance of Allah in Dhikr and be steadfast to achieve the great things of life.

He enjoined parents to focus more on morality and religious ethics in the upbringing of children saying: “Putting things right in the home and bringing up the children in the proper Islamic perspective is a great trust and huge responsibility which every Muslim parent must undertake as Allah commanded in the holy Quran.”
