Rector, Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech), Obafemi Omokungbe has assured the institution’s alumni of progressive partnership with a view to moving the college forward.

Speaking at a stakeholders meeting titled, “Fostering synergy for progress,” the rector said they would no longer work at cross purposes.

Omokungbe promised to outline ways through which the association can forge ahead.

“The annual alumni dues of graduating students would henceforth be collected by the management on behalf of the association which would in turn remit the check-off dues to the purse of the association as at when due”.

The rector disclosed that the management has sent some members to study how alumni of other institutions carry out their activities.

President of the association, Oluwafemi Martins described the age long faceoff with the management as a mere communication gap.

“We thank God that steps have already been taken by the new administration under Omokungbe. I must also quickly place on record the meeting with the entire management, the first of its kind as far as I can recall. These steps are evidence that the wilderness years are over.
