PAN raises the bar with Peugeot 301

For Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited (PAN), the all new Peugeot 301, may remain the most outstanding machine that will match the Nigerian roads considering the vehicle’s silent power horse that is capable of delivering topmost ruggedness.

The car, which is assembled in Kaduna, according to the organisation, offers a show of the agility the company provided in its brand since it started operation in Nigeria in the 70s.

Boasting that Peugeot will definitely be a top contender if there is a contest for a brand that has made the most outstanding mark on the Nigerian roads, the organisation said, the car comes in two engine variants including 1.2 and 1.6 litre.

Available in three trims-Access, Active and Allure, the 1.2-litre engine comes standard with manual transmission, while the 1.6 litre engine version is equipped with automatic transmission.

Taking into consideration the tropical weather, Peugeot has ensured that all versions of 301 come with factory fitted air conditioning system, eve as the Allure version is equipped with electronic system.

When it comes to ground clearance, the car is not a push over, as ample ground clearance is provided so it can dominate all terrain, be it smooth or rough. Coming with a 15 inch alloy rim, and reinforced suspension, it fits perfectly on the Nigerian roads.

Other outstanding features of the car which was nominated for Car of The Year at the last Nigerian Auto Journalists Awards (NAJA), include rear parking sensor, touches of chrome, electronic windows and dual air bags etc.

It also has Anti-Lock Braking System (which is a safety feature), power steering, height adjustable steering, giving room for easy adaptability to different drivers irrespective of their heights; radio/MP3/CD player/USB Bluetooth as well as centralized key/locking.

301, just like other Peugeot models are very environmental friendly. The engine’s emission pass successfully passed stringent environmental tests in Europe, even as the fuel efficiency is arguably the best in its category.
