Ondo commisssioner counsels residents on healthy lifestyles
THE Ondo State Commissioner for Health, Dr Dayo Adeyanju has called on the people of the state to be more concerned about their health, saying that health is wealth.
Adeyanju made this admonition during a prayer session marking the first working day in 2016, expressing displeasure over the attitude of people towards their well-being.
He urged individuals to be mindful of what they consume at all times, reiterating the commitment of government to providing qualitative health care to the people.
The Commissioner charged the staff of the ministry to re-double efforts in their duties, as this would go a long way in achieving a common goal.
While wishing them a happy new year, Adeyanju hinted that there is plan to organize the state council on health this year in the state.
The Commissioner, who assured that priority would be given to the welfare of the staff, urged them to continue to pray for the progress of the state.
Welcoming the staff, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Taiye Oni expressed optimism that this year’s success would be better than that of last year.
He solicited for the collective efforts of all and sundry in order to take the health sector to the next level.
