THE Governing Council of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike has approved the appointment of Professor Francis Ogbonnaya Otunta as the new Vice-Chancellor of the University with effect from March 1, 2016.
Otunta who is a Professor of Mathematics and indigene of Ebonyi State, will take over from the outgoing fourth Vice Chancellor, Prof. Hilary Odo Edeoga, an indigene of Enugu state who rose to the Vice Chancellor position in 2011 after serving two terms as the university’s deputy Vice Chancellor.
