OjulogeArts World Launch 2015 YEASAP

IN what is fast turning into a culture of excellence, Funso-Adebayo Ponmile of OjulogeArts World in partnership with the Lagos state Ministry of Youth and Social Development have launched the third edition of its Youth Empowerment and Skill Acquisition Program (YEASAP) for this year.

Seventy students were matriculated into the free program that will run for five months. They would be trained in the art of spa/skincare, cream mixing, body shaping, make up/make overs, gele tying, facials as well as several other beauty secrets.

The director of Ojuloge reiterated that she is committed to empowering as many youths as possible to make them financially independent and create job givers and not job seekers as well as reduce the unemployment situation in the country.

The beneficiaries of the program were selected from different local governments across the state and would be trained in five batches over the space of six months. Furthermore, she added that it was her hope that the beneficiaries go back to their respective local governments and become role models and pass on their knowledge. She implored private organizations to partner with the Ministry of Youths to reduce joblessness and idleness amongst the youths.

The Lagos State commissioner for Youth and social development was represented by Mr Lanre Rufai and in the speech he delivered, he urged the youths that it was time they take the lead, as they make up more than half of the nations population. The director for Youth Development, Mr Bode Adams, represented the permanent secretary for the Ministry of Youth and Social Development and he lauded the efforts of Funso-Adebayo and urged her to continue as she was on the right track.
