Ohanaeze Accuses PDP, Jonathan Of Neglect
OHANAEZE Ndigbo, South-West Zone, has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation of taking them for granted in its bid to ensure the re-election President Goodluck Jonathan for a second term in office.
According to a statement, the group spoke at a press conference in Ado–Ekiti which was attended by the presidents of socio-cultural organisation in Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Oyo States and their executives, they stated that President Jonathan and his party has kept them in the dark concerning his manifesto and other issues in his campaigns as if they did not matter.
President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo South-West zone, Prince Nathaniel Uzomah, who spoke on behalf of the other presidents, said President Jonathan should not get over confident with the belief that Igbo votes has been signed, sealed and delivered to him.
Uzomah, who is also the President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Ekiti State Chapter, said “because of what a few Igbo in the presidency is telling the President, he now feels that he has all the Igbo votes in his kitty and as such does not need any more consultation with Igbo leaders any where in the country.”
He urged the President to try and consult with Ohanaeze, which is the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation with network in the 36 states of the federation and beyond, the way he is busy consulting with leaders of the other ethnic groups in the country.
He described Ohanaeze Ndigbo South-West zone as the mouthpiece of the millions of Igbos resident in the South-West, noting that despite President Jonathan’s numerous visits to the South-West, he has never for one day asked to see Igbos living in the South-West states.

The group wants its own share of the dollars being thrown around by the PDP. By the time Jonathan empties the treasury all of us will suffer from the brunt.
We will review and take appropriate action.
