Ogun to empower 10,000 farmers, boost local content

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has promised to empower 10,000 farmers by providing them with 1000 acres of land for cultivation of cash crops.

The governor stated this during the unveiling and product launch of a new Maggi brand, ‘signature’ at Nestle Flowergate factory, in Sagamu, Ogun State.

According to him, government would continue to explore available opportunities in the agriculture value chain to create more jobs, improve local contents in raw materials, thereby contributing to the development of the economy.

Represented by Secretary to the state government, Mr. Olatokunbo Talabi, the Governor said he is resolved to make the state an investors’ destination of choice and promised to encourage enabling environment for established businesses and new investments.

Abiodun also expressed government readiness to partner with multinationals to achieve this objective.
