It was on this premise that Nigerian Breweries (NB) Plc, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Lagos, built, furnished and handed over a school library to Randle Avenue Primary School, Surulere, Lagos.

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, NB, Mr. Nicolaas Vervelde, who spoke during the formal handover of the project, explained that the initiative was in line with the company’s commitment to the development of education and investing in Nigeria’s future.

Represented by the Company’s Corporate Affairs Adviser, Mr. Kufre Ekanem, Vervelde maintained that the gesture would no doubt enhance reading culture among pupils and also improve the quality of learning in the school. He implored the school and pupils to make optimal use of the facility.

President, Rotary Club of Lagos, Mrs. Modupe Sasore, on her part, noted that the facility is a testimony of the enormous commitment of the firm to uplifting the standard of education in the country.

She acknowledged the effort of the benefactor, the Lagos State Government, officials of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), staff of the school and the project contractors for their cooperation in making the new knowledge resource centre a reality.
