NASFAT initiates ‘HELD’ scheme for improved standard of living

Nasrul-lahi-l-fatih Society (NASFAT), is set to further strengthen its partnership with the Federal Government of Nigeria and world institutions to improve the living standard of Nigerians and the entire world.

The Chief Missioner of the Society, Imam Abdul-Azeez Morufu Onike, who disclosed this when the Nigerian Embassy in Cote d’voire hosted him, said the scheme was in line with the new strategic goals set by the new executive council of the society as encapsulated in HELD, which translates to Health, Education, Livelihoods and Dawah.

During the 6-day tour, Onike commended NASFAT Abidjan branch for projecting the image of the society and spreading the mission by establishing a registered and functional clinic and health center in Abidjan.

He commended the efforts of the government back home in making Nigeria a peaceful place to live.

Onike advised Nigerians in diaspora, most especially Muslims to always be guided by the scriptural motivational prescriptions that NASFAT has globally adopted.

“And let there be arising from you a nation inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful,” he said, quoting from the Holy Quran.

He urged them to domesticate the HELD initiatives, continuously, be law abiding and contribute to the socio-economic development of their host country.

“The good ambassadors you have been in this country was witnessed and enjoyed by me judging from the courtesies, honour and privileges personally accorded to me by the ivory immigration officials at the airport”.

The chargé d’affaires at the Nigerian Embassy in Côte d’ivoire, Mohammed Maccido urged NASFAT members to continue to uphold the tenet of Islam and be good ambassadors of Nigeria.

“The visit to the embassy by the spiritual head of the organisation had afforded me the opportunity of knowing more about NASFAT activities”.
