Muslims across the country have been urged to spend good fortunes in the way of Allah and propagate Islam in accordance with soul winning techniques laid down by the Holy prophet (SAW).

The Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Dr. Abdul-Lateef Abdul-Hakeem, who made this call, during a public lecture and fund raising for the completion of the Central Mosque of Imowo-kekere (CMI) said whatever Allah has given us should be given out as charity according to the recommendation of Allah, adding that both the rich and the poor are not excluded from spending in the path of Allah.

“We Muslims should be involved in spiritual investment, we must be economically independent in order to create some source of empowerment among ourselves. That is why the mosque is expected to be more interested in the economy empowerment of the congregation, with the empowerment of the Muslims, the mosque will eventually be empowered”.

The commissioner added: “Some of us should embark on payment of zakat because one of the things zakat is used for is donation for religious propagation. I believe that if we join hands together Almighty Allah will assist us. One beautiful thing about Allah is that He does not place a burden on anyone beyond what he or she as have means to do.”
