‘Muslims should be grateful to good gestures’

Chairman of Federal Civil Service Staff With Disabilities Alhaji AbdulRauf Iliasu, has enjoined Muslim faithful to be grateful to good gestures in line with the recommendations of Prophet Mohammed (SAW).

Iliasu, who spoke during the official visit of the Jamhiyatul Ansardeen Attijaniyyat of Nigeria in Lagos, said Muslims should appreciate good gesture and also replicate the same towards creating a better society.

The group paid a “thank you” visit to him for encouraging the physically challenged people in the society to have confidence and courage to participate in the nation building.

National Secretary of the group, Sayyidi AlQasim Yahaya, who led a delegation of Muslims to the Aso Drive office of Alhaji Iliasu said the visit was at the instance of Mai Martaba, Sarki n Kano, Muhammadu Sunusi who is the National President of the society.

Sayyidi AlQasim said it is morally right and religiously good to appreciate good people in the society, he said that Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) enjoined Muslims to be grateful to good gestures no matter how little it might be.

AlQasim said the decision to elect Alhaji AbdulRauf Iliasu as the secretary of the society’s Board of Trustees was borne out of his selfless services to Islam.

Reacting to the speech made by Sayyidi AlQasim Yahaya, the Abuja Missioner of Jamhiyat Lutfulah, Imam AbdulLateef Abubakar, said the philanthropic gestures of Iliasu deserve commendation.

AbdulLateef said the act of helping the needy is emulated from Sheikh Muhammad Rabiu Adebayo at Oworoshoki Lagos.

He said Sheikh Rabiu Adebayo ordained all his students (including Iliasu) never to feel fulfilled until fellow human beings are fulfilled, never to feel secured until others are secured and never to feel happy until fellows are feeling happy.

While thanking the group of Muslims who paid him a visit, the National Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Staff With Disabilities said all hands must be on desk to help Nigeria to grow.

Iliasu said the era of leaving national development to political leaders alone has gone.

Individuals with good skills and ability should join hands together with the government in order to make the country a better place for all. He said great nations are made by great minds, which are not limited to politicians alone.

Iliasu maintained that the Almighty Allah creates human beings for reasons, and that all of us are endowed with potentials that can move the country forward.

He urged people with physical challenges to use their mind to think positively about Nigeria, use their brain to reason well about others, use their mouth to supplicate for the country and use their talents to contribute to the economic growth of the nation.

He said the passion to help people is emulated from his mentor, Sheikh Muhammad Rabiu Adebayo, who imbibed the spirit of helping others in him.

Iliasu urged Muslims to emulate righteous religious leaders like Sheikh Ibrahim Abdullahi Niasse in order to impact positively on the society.

He said many religious leaders failed the society because of their failure to match their words with good actions.

Iliasu said millions of Muslims who love Sheikh Ibrahim Niass love him because of his positive impacts to the world. He said people are celebrating him even at death simply because he added value to human lives.

It could be recalled that Jam’iyyatu Ansarideen Attijaniyya, an international Islamic Organization was founded by Sheikh Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi Niass RTA in 1966 to promote Islamic value cooperation between Muslims and Non-Muslim in the world, the organization vanguard the dissemination of knowledge and practices of the sincere teachings of Islam as practiced by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Iliasu said the decision to accept the offer to serve as secretary of the BOT of Jam’iyyatu Ansarideen Attijaniyya is mainly because of Islam.

He said Muslims across the country must eschew rancor and toil path of peace as exemplified by the Holy Prophet and typified by Sheikh Ibrahim Niass.

He implored Muslims in Nigeria to join hands together with Non-Muslims in peaceful co-existence to move the country forward progressively.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of a 18 seater bus on behalf of Jam’iyyatu Lutfullah Abuja to Jam’iyyatu Ansarideen Attijaniyya of Nigeria.

He said the vehicle would ease the movement of people going for prayers and help them in carrying along the needed people.
