Monster Energy drink promo produces first winners

A total of 30 winners have emerged from the first round of draws in the ongoing ‘Party with 2 Kings’ Promo by Monster Energy Drink, a brand from the stables of Nigerian Bottling Company Limited. The consumer Promo, which commenced nationwide on May 1, 2019, is expected to run for eight weeks and ends June 30, 2019.

Speaking shortly after the first round of draws to select winners, which held in Lagos recently, the Country Business Manager, Monster Energy Drink, Emeka Mgbachi, explained that the promotion is designed by the brand to appreciate its valued fans who have remained loyal since the product was introduced into the Nigerian market.

“The Monster 2Kings promotion is an on-pack promotion that gives consumers of the brand a chance to either win airtime or to party with two of Nigeria’s most talented music artistes, Olamide and Phyno in an exclusive party titled the ‘2KINGS’ concert,” he said.

Speaking further on the mode of participation, Mgbachi noted that consumers of the brand could participate by buying the promo cans from any store across the country and checking for a unique alphanumeric code under the pull-ring of the can, which is then to be sent to the short code 50221. According to him, “Consumers have the opportunity to enter multiple entries to increase their chances of winning airtime or a ticket to attend the exclusive party.”

Also speaking at the draws, the Brand Manager, Monster Energy Drink, Mr. Olawale Faluyi described the promotion as a way of putting smiles on the faces of Monster brand fans by rewarding them for staying true to the brand.

He said, “Monster is way more than an energy drink. Led by our partners, artistes, employees, distributors and fans, Monster is a fun lifestyle in a can. We are all about the things our fans care about, so we wanted to reward our consumers in a unique way, giving them the opportunity to meet with artistes that are the face of the next generation. The aim is to treat our customers to a good time of fun and entertainment as our little way of saying thank you. We believe our consumers will live to remember this unique opportunity.”

To ensure transparency of the process, the draws were attended and witnessed by Mr. Jude Ogaga, the Head, Enforcement and Monitoring, Nigeria Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) and Niyi Adeleke, the Assistant Head of Enforcement, Nigeria Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC).
