Showcasing the Sprinter in Lagos on Tuesday, Managing Director of the organisation, Tobi Ajayi said the product offers class-leading innovations needed for the Nigerian road, environmental condition and safety to ease cost of doing business.

He stressed that the vehicle offers cost cut plans to reduce organisations’ expenses and improve profitability, adding that it is one of the virtues upon which the Sprinter’s success has been based.

With service centres across major cities in Nigeria, Ajayi said the organisation has planned flexible after-sales initiative and a 200,000km warranty that would improve customers’ experience and ease maintenance.

The vehicle features a higher ground clearance, high- and low-range options, and a standard V6 turbo engine that delivers powerful torque, according to the organisation will help motorists work without worry, particularly in the face of economy shortfall.

According to the organisation, the engine is powered by some of the most advanced technology found in any commercial van. Accelerate performance with a standard 4-cylinder 2-stage turbo diesel engine 6 that saves up to 18 per cent on fuel costs and can lower total cost of ownership significantly over its working life.

In the aspect of safety, the van offers Load-Adaptive ESP innovations to help protect cargo, passengers, and business, Adaptive Esp® with ABS, EBD, brake assist and ASR as well as ESP® trailer stabilization in conjunction with trailer coupling or coupling pre-installation, bi-xenon headlamps, rain sensor with headlamp assist, adaptive brake lights, Wide-angle mirror (optionally heated), full-size airbags and three-point seat belts, Load securing by means of flexible lashing system, Sturdy occupant cell, crosswind assist, depending on the model.

The vehicle, which boast a reinforced suspension for local market also comes with a two year warrantee and after-sale service options that allows users to choose a convenient contract alternatively.
