Group urges lawyers to exercise regularly

The Surulere Lawyers Forum has called on legal practitioners to embark on regular exercises, as well as medical checkups to ascertain their state of health.
 
The group warned that a physically sound lawyer will be able to perform his or her duties better if health related issues are taken seriously.
   
The association disclosed this during a ‘walk to fit exercise’, which was done as part of the activities to mark their 2018 annual forum in Lagos.

   
The lawyers conveyed at Bode Thomas court walk through Adelabu Street to Akerele Junction and terminated at the National Stadium.
   
While addressing the newsmen, the Chairperson of the dinner committee, Egeonu Gloria Ngozi said the walk was organized to enable them exercise their body and check their fitness.
   
She also said that lawyers job is tasking as it involves a lot of mental stress, adding that they are known to either prosecute or defend cases in the courtroom, which they do mostly on a daily basis.
   
Also, the Chairman, Surulere Lawyers Forum, Mr. Bello Yusuf Bamijoko said the walk exercise and physical activity are a great way to feel better, boost health and have fun.
