Lagos mosque raises committee

The recently inaugurated executive council of the Secretariat Community Central Mosque, Alausa, has inaugurated sub-committees to help in the running of affairs of the mosque.

The recently inaugurated executive council of the Secretariat Community Central Mosque, Alausa, has inaugurated sub-committees to help in the running of affairs of the mosque.

Chairman of the Mosque, Dr Tajudeen Afolabi, said the purpose of the sub-committee is to work for the progress of the mosque and assist the executive council to deepen their impact on the mosque and the community.

He pleaded with the members of the different committees to be punctual, present and contribute positively during their meetings and come up with suggestions and actions that will move the community and the religion forward.

Earlier while admonishing Members of the Committees, Alhaji Kazeem Olalemi, a Director at the State Treasury Office urged them to see the responsibility as act of worship and service to mankind and Allah, reminding them that their actions during the special service will be rewarded negatively or positively depending on their contribution.

The Sub-Committees inaugurated during the events are Dawah, Maintenance, Finance & General Purpose, Education, Research & Publicity, Women Affairs, Security, Welfare and Multi-purpose Hall.

Members of the sub-committees were drawn from different Ministries, Departments, Agencies and the neighboring community offices and residences that make up the Community Central Mosque, Alausa.

Members present at the event showed enthusiasm that envisaged that they are ready to deliver as some are already noticing to be regular and show action in their respective committee.
