Former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice of Lagos State, and current President, Lagos Court of Arbitration (LCA), Mr. Olasupo Shasore (SAN) has said that LCA will continue to raise awareness about the importance of Alternative to Dispute Resolution (ADR) in relation to various sectors of the economy.

This he said, is because dispute resolution is a pillar of economic development and an integral part of the promise of the rule of law.

“LCA is also an asset for national productivity because the institution supports legal certainty by providing a framework for stable and predictable enforcement of contract obligation, plus a reliable mechanism for the peaceful resolution of disputes and conflicts.”

Shasore stated this during his remarks at the 2015 annual lecture and exhibition in Lekki, Lagos.

He also added that the year 2015 was a significant one for LCA as it witnessed the addition of accomplished individuals in the board of LCA.

Also speaking at the event, Mr. Adeyemi Candide-Johnson (SAN) pointed out that the essence of the event is to “awakening the conscience of international arbitration within the moderate means.”
