Ikorodu NBA holds law week

THE Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ikorodu Branch has began its 10th Law Week tagged, ‘the era of Change’.

The Law Week is usually a week set aside by the branches of the NBA in Nigeria to celebrate the Legal Profession.The NBA, Ikorodu Branch commenced her Law Week programme on the 8th day of May, 2015 and would end on May 14, 2015.

The Branch will hold the Babatunde Olusola Benson, SAN lecture tagged ‘Survival of Democracy in Nigeria: An overview of 2015 General Elections today May, 12, 2015.

According to a statement endorsed by the chairman of the Branch, Adedotun Adebayo-Adetunji, the erudite President emeritus of the NBA, Mr. Joseph Daudu, SAN is going to do Justice to the topic. “The topic is of importance to the country at this moment because of the transition in government.

We need to review the just concluded electoral process, reminiscence on the gains and loss of the election, and improve on the gains.

“The Women Forum/Young Lawyer Programme comes up on the 13th of May, 2015. It is an interactive and educative programme which will take up public lectures in the area of eradication of domestic violence against women in our society and emerging issues in reproductive rights; third gender identity and the right to be wrong. The lecture shall be of immense enlightenment to the public and members of the Legal profession.
