Intercedd Health Products (IHP), a subsidiary of Bioresources Development and Conservation Programme (BDCP), is set for Abuja Health Fair 2017 scheduled for Friday October 13 and Saturday October 14, 2017, at Tobix Park and Garden, opposite Alibert and Next Cash and Carry on Gwarinpa/ Jahi way Abuja.

The Abuja Health Fair as the name implies is a health and wellness fair organized by IHP.

Director of IHP, Mrs. Ijeoma Nwafor, in a statement, said: “We noticed that Nigerians are going about looking for wealth, ignoring their health thereby forgetting that a healthy nation is a wealthy nation. So, starting with Abuja, we will have this replicated in other states. We are putting together this fair for people already living a healthy lifestyle and encourage those who want to start living a healthy lifestyle to meet with people and vendors in the health sector.”

Nwafor said IHP produces and markets drugs developed by the International Center for Ethnomedicine and Drug Development (InterCEDD), a Research and Development (R&D) centre based in Nsukka, Enugu State.

She said Abuja Health Fair will have vendors and practitioners in the following areas:health care practitioners; natural products manufacturers; health foods makers; fitness and wellness practitioners; nutritious meals; mental health and women’s health consultants; and just think of anything that relates to your health and you will find vendors on ground. Interestingly, there are freebies that people will go home with.

Nwafor said the two-day event starts by 9: 00am daily. “Registration is ongoing for vendors at N40,000 and there is a 50 per cent discount if you mention Guardian Newspaper’s Health Section.”
