The nutrition professionals led by Dr. Bartholomew Brai, Vice President Nutrition Society of Nigeria, who spoke at the Milo Relaunch Breakfast event in Lagos, stressed the importance of breakfast as a major meal of the day.

He said there is need for proper management of breakfast adding that mismanagement of breakfast might lead to insulin resistance in the body, which may lead to health challenge.

Brai informed that 8am is a good time to take breakfast and Nestle has proved a leader in manufacturing such beverage drink.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Nestle Nigeria Plc, Dharnesh Gordhon, said in Nigeria, its product, usually referred to as, ‘the energy food drink of future champions,’ is helping to nourish the aspirations of mothers for their children, as they grow up and be successful in life.

Gordhon disclosed that milo is also the proud supporter of grassroots sports development in Nigeria, adding that it has sponsored the Milo basketball Championship for the past seven years. “This is a great heritage for young Nigerians who have benefited from the opportunity to participate and gone on to achieve great heights both in basketball and other endeavors of life”, he said.
