Are you seeking real happiness and contentment?

Searching for harmony within your mind, body and spirit?

Are you done living a life that is not aligned with your heart’s desires?

Tope was a successful nurse, who also had a booming side business. For his age, he was very comfortable and had done quite well for himself.

Despite being successful, he still felt discontented. He had always dreamt of being successful, but now, he was not pleased with where he was.

In a search for answers, he was referred to a life coach by a colleague and friend. According to his friend, a life coach will help him find the answers he has been looking for.

Within a month, Tope got the breakthrough he was searching for. He realized that all through his life, his quest to be successful because of his very poor background had him neglect other critical areas of his life, which include: home and family, relationships, health and wellbeing, fulfillment, happiness and most importantly contentment.

Receiving these answers broke Tope down. At that moment, he made a decision, and his life tremendously transformed from that current state to a much more fulfilling and satisfying place. As human beings, our natural state is joy and love.

Over time we are introduced to pain and fear, comparison of ourselves to others and told to fit into boxes of social norm.

We stop listening to our bodies and push ourselves to be who we think we should be. And then we wonder why we are stressed, anxious and disconnected from the world around us.

INNER PEACE, you can achieve everything you have always wanted, and still be unhappy. That is because true happiness and contentment comes from within.

A Life Coach takes you through the journey of self-mastery. Contentment, or the state of being content, is about peaceful satisfaction.

It is about finding freedom from being compulsively driven by your thoughts, your emotions, and by outer circumstances.

How do you get there? It involves appreciating what you have and where you are in life, rather than wishing things were different.

It does not mean you would simply settle for a life that does not bring you joy.

Rather, you should continue to dream big, set goals for yourself, and work towards achieving them diligently, while remembering to enjoy the journey and not rush to make it happen.

The peculiar thing about contentment is that it is possible to feel fulfilled inside yet have outer struggle at the same time.

This is because contentment celebrates the good in your life while simultaneously working through the bad. It’s a continuous process. Whereas happiness may come and go.

Below are five building blocks towards achieving Inner peace and contentment:
1. Live your values: Values are essentially what we care about most in life. They are our motivation, towards what we want out of life.

When your actions and thoughts are in line with your values, you can be your genuine self easily.

Being your authentic self is ultimately going to provide you with a greater sense of contentment.

If you find that you are dissatisfied with life, ask yourself if your goal(s) is(are) in line with your values. If it is not, make a plan to align them on a daily basis.

2. Acceptance and self-love: Acceptance and self-love is crucial for peace of mind.

The more we accept and love ourselves the way we are, the greater our peace of mind. We accept ourselves more and feel at ease in the world.

No matter what situation we find ourselves in. We experience less insecurity and as a result, our inner peace is heightened.

3. Adopt an optimistic worldview: A lot of times, we focus on problems, fears, and protecting ourselves from all the things that could go wrong.

The world reflects our dominant thoughts, so when you think negatively, you attract negativity.

This can cause the inability to see all the beauty, blessings, love, abundance and opportunity surrounding us in every moment.

Adopt an optimistic worldview. Wake up and anticipate an amazing day.

Feel excited about the infinite possibilities for your life. Notice all the love and gifts around you just waiting to be seen.

4. Be true to you: This is another vital composite of peace of mind. When the way we see ourselves and the way the world sees us is the same, we are practicing congruency.

Problems arise when we see ourselves one way, but behave in ways that are at odds with how we would like to see ourselves.

Finding ways to keep our inner ideals and the way we behave similar is one of the keys to peace of mind.

5. Have goals: Goals keep us going in the right direction and gives us a sense of purpose. Make your goals “SMART”: S=Specific, M=Measurable, A=Achievable, R=Realistic, T=Time bound.

Do you desire to live your best life, filled with inner peace and contentment, but do not know the first step to take? Then you need to speak to a life coach, just as Tope did.
