GreyHeart-To further improve access to quality and affordable healthcare by older people and patients recovering from surgeries, GreyHeart, a medical consultancy which comprises of a team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and residential assistants has unveiled a new service, Medical Concierge to bridge the demand gap.

Under the initiative, patients and old citizens will be provided affordable palliative home health care in the comfort of their homes.

Speaking at the unveiling of the service in Lagos, on Tuesday, the Coordinator, Greyheart, Dr Adaeze Ibekweh explained that the new service attempts to break the norm by changing the paradigm in healthcare delivery.

According to her, the firm is working with a network of medical professionals to ensure that quality services are delivered to clients in a sustainable manner.

For instance, under the arrangement, if a patient gets involved in an accident and sustains some injuries, the first point of call for such a patient or the caregiver is undoubtedly the hospital, where examination and treatment will be given. After the initial examination and treatment, the patient may be discharged but required to check back frequently for routine care of the injuries.

“This frequenting of the hospital will be rendered unnecessary by a home healthcare service, as the patient can receive all the care and attention from the comfort of their home without having to visit the hospital unless when necessary”, she added.

Ibekweh further explained that, “with the rise in busy schedules and chronic diseases in the county, there is a rising demand for home care and post-operative rehab services. Greyheart healthcare is ready and prepared to provide proper, specialized and prompt treatment to its clients in a swift manner.
