THE people’s appreciation was so obvious for the magnanimity of Rotary Club of Maryland to the members of Onigbongbo Community market at the commissioning of the renovated male and female toilets in the market as well as provision of water.

Commenting on the project, the President of the Club, Oladapo Ademola Ogunlola, said the club has decided to renovate the toilets and provide water that would not only be useful in keeping the toilet clean but would also satisfy the need of the marketers.

He said the Club has, for a long time, observed the deplorable condition of the toilets and also the lack of water to keep the toilet clean and then decided to come to the rescue.

He declared: “Rotary Club is a humanitarian club that is committed to serving members of the community and bringing succour to the less privileged.

“Apart from the renovation of the toilets and provision of water at Onigbongbo Community market, the club has also donated some materials to Mende Health centre to improve the provision of health care at the centre.

The club also donated essential books to Wasimi Community Senior High School to update the school library, which was donated to the school by the club.
