Heads, chief executives of government-owned agencies, parastatals, not affected by boards’ dissolution, says LASG
THE Lagos State Government has clarified that heads and chief executives of government- owned agencies and parastatals are not affected by the dissolution of boards of parastatals and agencies as recently directed by the State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tunji Bello, it was also stated that the State House of Assembly Commission was also exempt from the dissolution directive.
It would be recalled that Ambode had on Monday approved the dissolution of all boards of parastatals and agencies of government in the State with the exemption of the State Civil Service Commission, Judicial Service Commission and the State Independent Electoral Commission.
The clarification had become necessary because of different wrong interpretations given to the media announcement of the dissolution.
