Pampers Paediatrician, Dr. Akinola Ronke has urged mothers to use good and quality diapers as it contributes to the growth and development of babies.

Akinola said this at the recent unveiling of the Pampers “#MomsKnowBest” Campaign by Procter & Gamble (P&G), which is aimed at creating a platform for mothers to share and discuss their experiences and tips for better development of Nigerian babies.

She explained: “One cannot over emphasize the need for babies to sleep well; because it is actually from sleep most of the baby’s growth occur as well as restore energy to building brain connection. And Pampers Baby Dry guarantees that,” she said.

Brand Marketing Director, Procter and Gamble, Nigeria, Ehis Enekabor, said that the campaign is to reassure mothers that Nigeria Pampers is the best brand, as anywhere in the world, adding that mothers have to use good diapers like Pampers to prevent napkin rash on their babies.

According to her, whatever materials used in the production of Pampers is safe for babies, because “it has gone through the most rigorous process with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).”

Enekabor disclosed that Pampers recently commissioned a multi-million-dollar factory in Lagos, and that positions Pampers Nigeria to come with parallel innovation that is going to take the brand to the same height as everywhere globally.

Songstress, Tiwa Savage, who is a new mother and a Pampers Advocate, related her experience with the new Pampers Baby Dry, saying that the product keeps her baby dry and comfortable because of the super gel that absorbs the wetness on him and the stretchy wings.

Tiwa, who is also the face of the campaign said, apart from the right food and the right environment, keeping the baby dry at night is very important because that influences babies’ growth. “So you need them to be comfortable when sleeping,” she said.
