FutaTHE management of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) Staff Secondary School, has tasked outgoing students to be good ambassadors of the institution, and to always remember to give back to their alma mater, which has given so much to them.

Principal of the school, Mr. Anthony Ikuyinminu, while speaking during the 23rd Founder’s Day Anniversary, said management was proud of students that performed excellently in the last May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), urging them to be proud of the ambassadors of the school.

Ikuyinminu who commended the performance of the students said, “All our students that sat for the 2014/2015 UTME scored well above 200 and so they were qualified for POST UTME.

Most of them have been admitted to various universities both within and outside the country… Report reaching us indicates that our students are leading their mates in their various universities. They are equally doing well morally.”

He admonished the students that “the school has in no small means contributed in monitoring and remoulding you, especially from the primary school to the present status. It becomes pertinent on you to always think good of the school and the good men and women God has put in place to teach you.

“Wherever and whenever you find a sound footing in life, do well in ploughing back into the development of the school,” he said, assuring them that the management would soon introduce a Hall of Fame to motivate and pre-empt the students on academic brilliance and excellence.”
