Foursquare Hosts Youths And Single At Valentine

Foursquare Gospel Church, Orile Iganmu, Lagos has concluded plans to host its yearly valentine programme tagged, Valen-Jesus for youths and singles with the theme: ‘Before you say I do’.

Youth President of the Church, Bro. Bayo Adebajo said in a statement that ‘Valen-Jesus’ is a concept originated by the church’s youths as a platform to celebrate Valentine in a unique way by celebrating love in the light of the gospel.

The interdenominational programme, which is open to all youths, holds on February 14, 2016 from 4pm in the church’s auditorium and will feature presentations and teachings by the church’s senior pastor and his wife, Pastor and Pastor (Mrs.) Femi Akinwande.

According to him, since Valentine has become one of the biggest celebrations among youths, the church must take advantage of the occasion to propagate God’s own idea of love in a way that it adds value to youths’ lives, as well as benefit the society at large.

He said love excites youths, but more often than not, they are lacking in understanding of its real meaning, which leads to heart break and conducts that are at variance with much cherished chastity of Biblical standard.
