A law firm – Advocaat Law Practice, last week, held its second discourse series with the theme, “Technology Disruption in the Power Sector.”

The programmed which held in Lagos, featured seasoned resource persons in the Nigerian power sector, power generation and distribution companies, financiers of power projects as well as investors.

One of the highlights of the discourse was a presentation by the Chairman, Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Professor James Momoh, who spoke on the readiness of NERC to support the adoption of relevant technology in the power sector.

Other speakers and panelists at the event include the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Rural Electrification Agency, Mrs. Damilola Ogunbiyi; founder and Chief Executive Officer, ZKJ Energy, Mr. Rumundaka Wonodi and the Managing Director, Soventix, Mr. Alex Aris Papachristou.

Others are Mr. Kolapo Joseph of North South Power, Mr. Ahmad Zakari of General Electric and Mr. Chukwudozie Okpalaobieri, who represented African Development Bank (AfDB) at the event.
