State of automotive policy in focus as group hosts lecture

The yearly lecture series of the Nigeria Transport Lecture, organised by Transport Day Newspaper discussed the way forward for the country’s automotive industry.The 5th edition of the programme titled, ‘Nigeria Auto Policy: Moving forward or Stagnant’ will see the Chairman Automobile and allied sectoral group of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Oseme Oigiagbe, discussing the lead paper, Managing Editor of the newspaper, Frank Kintum has said.

Kintum in a statement said: “Oseme, being an experienced industry chieftain, will be reviewing the policy, with the aim of determining whether the policy is moving forward or stagnant.”


The event, which will also host other industry players, is expected to hold in Lagos on Thursday, April 27th.Kintum explained that the annual lecture is Transport Day newspaper’s way of contributing to the development of the transport and logistics sector of the economy.

Apart from the lecture, the event will also witness the recognition of some worthy players in the transport and logistics sector of the economy.Some key individuals listed to be so recognised include the Managing Director of Primero Transport Services Limited, Fola Tinubu.

The Ogun State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Commander Clement Oladele; and the Registrar General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Mr. Bello Mahmud.

Others are the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Michelin Tyre, First System Refinishes Limited, Med View Airline, the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), and Sky View Aviation Handling Company Limited.
