Renault has taken the wraps off the heavily updated Duster SUV. The French carmaker’s low-cost sister-brand Dacia had revealed its version of the refreshed Duster SUV.

Renault sells the Duster under its line-up in markets like Brazil, Russia and Ukraine and some regions like Africa and the Middle-east, while the ‘Dacia’ Duster is sold in nations like France, Spain and the United Kingdom.

The Renault Duster gets subtle changes from its Dacia counterpart. Up front, the shape of the grille is unique – it still carries the wider stance but is a bit taller and merges into the front bumper neatly. A large Renault logo sits in the centre, surrounded by subtle chrome bits on its side.

The Renault Duster also gets LED daytime running lights and LED inserts for its tail-lamps. The alloy wheel design is slightly different and looks more upmarket, as expected. At the back, the new Renault Duster gets chrome trim for the license plate as well.

On the inside, the Renault’s version of the Duster gets a slightly different look. It features rectangular air con vents as opposed to the round units. Additionally, the steering wheel is different and looks similar to the one seen on the Renault Captur crossover. It also gets subtle chrome trim on the dashboard, steering wheel and air con buttons.

The India launch of the new Renault Duster could still be some time away. And that’s got to do with Renault’s positioning of the recently launched Captur crossover, which sits just above current Duster in Renault’s India line-up.
