Wale Oke promises to make PCU world-class varsity

Presiding Bishop of Sword of the Spirit Ministries, Ibadan, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, has promised to make Precious Cornerstone University, Ibadan a world-class institution in the league of Harvard, Oxford, Reading and others.

Presiding Bishop of Sword of the Spirit Ministries, Ibadan, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, has promised to make Precious Cornerstone University, Ibadan a world-class institution in the league of Harvard, Oxford, Reading and others. Oke, who is the promoter of the university, stated this during the welcome party in honour of newly admitted students of the university.

Noting that the students will be groomed to be academically, intellectually and morally sound, he said, “A world-class university is born. We will leave no stone unturned to make PCU be in the league of Harvard, Oxford, Reading and others.

“We want this institution to be a world-class institution where the system works. The fee is not high and can be paid in four instalments. Arrangement has been made for indigent but brilliant students for scholarship. Management members are core professionals in their fields and every activities here must be by merit.”

Disclosing that 90 students from 16 states of the federation were admitted as the pioneer students of the faith-based institution, the cleric pointed out that “the institution is truly a national and pan-African university as we have student from Benin Republic.”

Also speaking, Bishop Mike Bamidele of Victory Life Ministries International, Ilesa, Osun State, charged the students to be studious and solutions to societal problems as well as bring answers to societal problems.

“The world is looking for men of skills who can provide answers to problems of life. Have a vision of the kind of result you will bring. Lay a solid foundation at the beginning. Commit yourself to God. Be determined, you will become a cornerstone in many endeavours,” he said.

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Julius Oloke, said the school would give the best to the students.The Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Bayo Adegoke, said the school would mould the students’ destiny, adding, “In the next three years, generals in the Lord’s army would emerge among them.”
