Upholding Mandela’s values will uplift Africa, say Greensprings students

Africa will be a better place if the values of the late South African President, Nelson Mandela, are upheld, according students of Greensprings School, Lagos State.

Lending their voices to the global conversation and exultation of the icon of freedom and his message, the students stressed the need for African leaders and citizens to unite and move the continent forward.

The school was marking Mandela’s 100th post-humous birthday and the fifth anniversary of his death.

Head boy of the school (Anthony campus), Ire-ayo Odeyemi, said Africa could truly rise to fulfil her potentials if all stakeholders played their own part.

He added that the economic and social development of the continent remained a collective responsibility.

Another student, Miss Allyson Okosun, explained the need for educational institutions to produce a new crop of intellectuals who would impact humanity positively.
