Chairman of the school’s board, Mr. Samuel Olufemi Olatunji, while announcing activities lined up for the celebration, described the school’s period of existence as 20 years of academic excellence and God’s faithfulness.

Nigeria-educationAll is now set for the 20th anniversary celebration of Trinity International Schools, Ofada, Ogun State.
Chairman of the school’s board, Mr. Samuel Olufemi Olatunji, while announcing activities lined up for the celebration, described the school’s period of existence as 20 years of academic excellence and God’s faithfulness.

A series of activities for the anniversary, themed, “20 Years of Molding Lives: It is God,” commences today and would end on Sunday November 22, 2015, with a thanksgiving service.

It would also include the presentation of keys to beneficiaries of Trinity Staff Housing Scheme, and launch of 500 chairs donated to the host community.

However, as the school celebrates 20 years of positively impacting lives, Olatunji is calling on education managers in the country to inculcate the right values in their students so as to restore the waning social values and ensure credibility of Nigerian schools.

He expressed the belief that the society would be a better place if the issue of sound moral upbringing and credibility were embraced and given due attention.

He said, “The general decline in the Nigeria’s education sector and standard is as a result of lack of credibility and moral values on the part of school managers, whose duty it is to impart strong morals to their students.
“We the staff of Trinity International Schools might not have enjoyed lots of educational privileges and good virtues during our academic years, but we wish to continue in the long tradition of ensuring moral, discipline and academic excellence of which the school is known for, to the young ones.”

Olatunji further stated that for 20 years, the school has never encountered social, moral or academic challenges that were beyond the school’s control, noting that peace, positivity and organisation of a laudable percentage have been experienced amongst staff, students and parents.

Commending the principal of the senior secondary school arm, Mr. Femi Apata, for emerging the school’s best teacher, he encouraged other teachers to work hard and ensure that morality, credibility and academic excellence were maintained at all times.
Trinity International School was founded on Sunday October 8, 1995 at Ikeja with 19 students. I later moved to Ofada in 2006 with 400 students. Today, the school records a population of 716 students.
