Sona Biscuits organises excursion for schools

SONA Agro Allied Food Industries Limited, makers of Sona Biscuits, has announced the commencement of its excursion programme for public and private primary schools in Lagos and Ogun states. The programme is aimed at inspiring children to become renowned entrepreneurs in future.

Shedding more light on the exercise, managing director of the firm, Mr. Subramanian Murugesan said, “Biscuits are every child’s favourite snacks. In the course of its production, certain processes are involved and we have considered it necessary for these kids to be taught these processes.

Considering the economic condition of the country, children should be exposed to as many disciplines as possible so as to create a platform for them to make choices when the need arises. We have the state-of–the-art production machineries that will inspire these children in their choice of career specialisation while other entrepreneurial skills that would be taught and exhibited will awaken the zeal in them,” he stated

The last Thursday of every month has been set out for the accomplishment of this pursuit. We therefore admonish school managements to avail themselves the opportunity of raising future entrepreneurs out of their pupils,” Murugesan added.
