The immediate past Vice Chancellor of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, has praised members of staff and students of the institution for their support and understanding during his tenure.

The message was posted on the “Connect with AAUA VC,” (official Facebook page) by the Webmaster of the university, Mr. Yinka Folorunso.

Ajibefun stated that the support he received enormously contributed to the success of his five years in office. The farewell message read: “As I complete my five-year tenure today, January 5, 2020 as the 5th substantive vice chancellor of AAUA, I would like to use this medium to thank you most sincerely for your support and understanding these past five years.

“Your prayers, commitment and support have all contributed to the success of my tenure as the VC of the university. I have enjoyed working with you directly or indirectly. It is my firm belief that you will remain dedicated to the development of our university at all times. May the good Lord continue to bless you. Amen.”

Recall that the Ondo state governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, on Friday approved the appointment of Prof. Olugbenga Ige, as the acting VC of the university.
