Fifteen schools from overseas are in Nigeria to secure students wishing to study outside the country. It’s at the instance of U.S.-based Linden Educational Services, with its local partner, ALTS Consulting, Advisory and Solutions Services. It’s with a view to getting the best schools for such students.

At a programme held in Ikoyi, Lagos, students and parents met with the schools’ representatives, just as seminars were also organised to acquaint teachers with some of the best teaching methods. While speaking at the occasion, the Managing Partner, ALTS Consulting, Mrs. Anthonia Foluke Sawyerr, stated that her organisation, in addition to being an educational consultancy company, also helps students to obtain visas and arrange for scholarships for those who require it. She added that the programme was aimed at getting the best for both students and parents.

According to her, “We noticed that many students intending to study abroad know little about those countries and do not even know about the educational system since they have never been to those schools. Hence we decided to organise this programme for them to have personal contact with the best schools from five countries including Switzerland, United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada and India.

“We call this programme ‘Boarding & Summer School Expo’ as it also enlightens students and parents on the available opportunity of having summer education overseas”

Sawyerr who said that her organisation focuses more on representing the best interest of students intending to study overseas, stated that her organisation has been in existence since 2010. Also speaking at the event, the Executive Director, Linden Educational Services, John A. Williamson said the interest of his organisation was based on getting the best secondary education for students so that they could go to the best universities.

He said, “The worst thing to happen to parents is to send their children to a boarding university and not get the best. Advantages of going to some of these best schools represented here are that they have tremendous large campuses and the best technologies in the world. There is a school that flies drones and there are schools that have their own ship. The best thing is that some of these schools with fantastic facilities also offer scholarships”.
