Educationist urges governmentt to review curriculum

Executive Director De Beautiful Beginning Schools (DBBS), Magodo, Lagos, Mrs Bukola Ogunleye has urged government to review the nation’s curriculum in order to meet up with global standard of educational system. She made the call at the 2017 edition of the school Graduation/ Award Giving Ceremony held at the Muson Centre recently.

While attributing the dynamism and display of talent at the yearly event to hard work and dedication of both the staff and students of the school, Ogunleye expressed concern over the present state of the nation’s curriculum and urged government to make some adjustment in order to enhance effective teaching and learning.
 
Ogunleye who spoke on the theme: ‘Reaching for the stars’, reminded that children are the stars of tomorrow and must imbibe the spirit of honesty and hardwork to excel in life.

Urging parents to get the best out of their children, she said, “home too is important and parents must cooperate with the school for the children to excel.On her part, the wife of Lagos State Governor Mrs Bolanle Ambode who was honoured with the Grande Emerald of DBBS, said students are the leaders of tomorrow; hence must not compromise their academic and moral standard

Represented by Mrs Coker Adebisi, she noted that academic and moral excellence are the two ingredients necessary to reach the top.The school management explained that Mrs. Ambode was honoured for her leadership style, adding, “The first lady has showcased an exemplary profile of a good mother to all with her leadership focus on building the future with creative and vision.
