Chrisland varsity launches gym facility, advocates physical fitness
Vice-CHANCELLOR, Chrisland University, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola, has emphasised the importance of physical exercise is human, saying it helps develop and maintain physical fitness and overall health.
Babalola who led other management members during the dedication of the new university gym, said the facility would help the entire university community in physical exercise and also be of great benefit to those that want to hone their athletic skills.
She expressed gratitude to the institution’s Sports Director, Dr. Nicholas Erameh, for spearheading the process leading to the procurement of the gym.
She also extended her gratitude to the Board of Trustees and the Chancellor, High Chief Dr. Mrs. Winifred Awosika, iterating that the gym would most definitely promote healthy living among the staff and students of the university.
Erameh, on his part, also expressed his gratitude to the institution’s Chancellor, the vice chancellor, members of management as well as the Sports committee for facilitating the procurement of the gym. He added that, the equipment would later generate revenue for the university.
The gym instructor, Mr. Abraham, noted that gym is equipped with everything needed for muscle toning and muscle development, adding that they would also enhance wellness of the heart and weight loss.
